About the work:
This statue of Bodhisattva Nāgārjuna is adorned with a robe of blessings, with hands forming the teaching mudra, seated in a royal dance posture. The head tilts slightly downward to the left, with a face reflecting the Gandhara style. Atop the head, eight snakes resembling a halo are depicted, symbolizing the Nāga race and dragons. According to legend, Bodhisattva Nāgārjuna once visited the dragon's palace to enlighten the Nāga beings. Upon his departure, the divine dragon transformed into the form of a snake to protect him.

The "Statue of Bodhisattva Nāgārjuna" features weathered textures in its painting, evoking the passage of time. From observing "emptiness" to perceiving "existence," it transcends the eternal flow of time. The statue’s delicate details convey the wisdom and compassion of Bodhisattva Nāgārjuna.

Building on this foundation, pastel layers add a sense of lightness. Amidst the interplay of light and shadow, a serene and ethereal atmosphere allows one to experience the infinite and inclusive nature of Buddhist teachings.

Bodhisattva Nāgārjuna’s hands form the teaching mudra, draped in a robe, with each layer’s gradient and transition harmonizing with the intricate details of the whole. The interplay of "emptiness" and "existence" offers a sense of transcending worldly impurities, evoking a profound sense of purity and detachment.
