Pure Abodes
Pure Abodes
by Manas Si Ji
About the work:
Inspired by Pure Abodes of Buddhism. One of the 28 assemblies. Also known as the Five Pure Ones. They are the attendants of the Thousand-Armed Avalokiteshvara, always accompanying and protecting the good spirits of those who practice. The Five Pure Abodes are the Five Tathagatas, residing in the heavens, and the Flaming Moisture is in the earth below. When it is time for the attainment of the ultimate good fruit, the Pure Abode will demonstrate the ritual of reverence; when it is time for the attainment of the ultimate evil fruit, the Flaming Moisture will demonstrate the law of punishment. Now combining the directions of the heavens and the earth, it is referred to as the Five Pure Abodes and Flaming Moisture. According to the ritual and sequence of the Thousand-Armed Avalokiteshvara, their form is purple and white, and they hold a flaming Moisture banner in their left hand and a female staff in their right.
